SPEED SCIENCE est un groupe de Metal-Indus fondé en 2003 dans le Nord de la France. Les membres à l'origine de ce projet (J. Cozette et B. Cauchy) venant d'horizons différents, ont toujours eu pour but de mixer les influences les plus diverses jusqu'à arriver à un style qui lui est propre. Il propose désormais une vision du metal basée sur le contraste ; conjuguant modernité et dynamique oldschool, mélodie et agressivité.

Avec l'expérience et le temps, le groupe se mue en un projet concret, un collectif d’artistes (musiciens, graphistes, photographes, réalisateurs, …) dans lequel chacun apporte sa pierre à l’édifice et contribue à la richesse du concept. N'étant pas intéressé par les partis pris, il préfère apporter au monde sa propre célébration de l'art et la musique.

Il évolue sur un support de science-fiction, vivant la musique comme une expérience scientifique, avec son cadre et ses protagonistes. On retrouve ce concept des côtés graphique et parolier. Le premier album « The Theory Of A Genesis » vois le jour fin 2012. Il est signé Batt Cauchy, Julien Cozette et Florian "Vyküü" Ménard.

Pour l'occasion, l’opus est proposé sur une édition collector à exemplaires limités! Le tout enregistré, mixé et masterisé par l'oreille compétente d'Axel Wursthorn (Carnival in Coal, Sômbre). Parallèlement, un clipvideo est réalisé et mis en ligne aussitôt l'album dans les bacs (21 septembre 2012). Cette vidéo, "The Needs Beneath, traduit à elle seule l'univers du groupe, graphisme et science-fiction avec juste ce qu'il faut de codes cachés. (disponible sur youtube ou speedscience.net)

SPEED SCIENCE is a metal-indus band, born in 2003 in Northern France. The founding members of the project (J. Cozette and B. Cauchy), coming up with different musical backgrounds, have always been trying to mix the most  various influences until the creation of a personal musical style. Now, SPEED SCIENCE offers a vision of metal based upon contrast, blending modernity with old-school dynamism, melodies with agressivity.

Through experience and time, the band transformed into a solid project, gathering artists (musicians, graphists, photographers, directors…), each making their own special contribution to the depth of the concept. Not interested in biases, the band prefers bringing its own celebration of art and music.

It evolves upon a science-fiction background, living its music as a scientific experiment, with its own frame and characters. This concept can also be found in the visual and lyrical sides of the band. The first album, entitled 'The Theory of a Genesis', was released by the end of 2012 ; it is signed by Batt Cauchy, Julien Cozette and Florian 'Vyküü' Ménard. This was also the opportunity to propose a collector's edition, in limited and numbered copies. This album was recorded, mixed and mastered thanks to the stimulating ear of Axel Wursthorn (Carnival in Coal, Sômbre).

At the same time, a music video was produced and revealed online as soon as the album was released, on 21st September 2012. This video of 'The Needs Beneath', already available on YouTube or on speedscience.net, conveys the whole universe of the band, its science-fiction and graphic sides, with just a touch of hidden codes.
